ᐅ Plastering walls in the second quarter with textured roller plaster or other recommendations?

Hello

we have a newly built semi-detached house

all walls and ceilings will be finished with a Q2 level skim coat

we do not want to use wallpaper but instead plaster and paint the walls or use colored plaster

How can we make the walls look nice as a DIY project?

we plan to plaster the walls as smoothly as possible ourselves using filler compound

What should I do next—just paint them? Or what do you think about textured plaster? What would you recommend?

Ten years ago, I "enhanced" my small office with it and added "Cappuccino" color (it comes in these "capsules").
There’s no brown left, just some kind of "yellowed white with a greenish tint." 😕

I found the mistake: of course, you have to put the capsules into the Nespresso machine, not into the textured wall coating.

Do you keep brushing against your wall? ;-)

I’m constantly visiting the doctor because I always walk along the exterior wall, plus the rough bathroom tiles wear down the calluses on my feet, and just as often I burn my hands on the hot stove burner.
I’m really amazed at how people categorically label things as "junk" just because they can’t imagine it themselves, don’t want it for themselves, or always consider their own way as the enlightened optimum.

Don’t laugh! Since we moved in, I’ve been throwing away a pair of socks every 2-3 days because of holes.
It’s probably an unfortunate combination of our rough tiles and my shuffling walk.
I wouldn’t call them junk though 😉

It must be an unfortunate combination of our rough floor tiles and my shuffling walk.
Still, I wouldn’t call them junk 😉

I can just about live with that, but @driver55 will probably recommend tearing out the "junk" again.
Tough decisions ahead in your house...... 😀
