Hello everyone,

We are considering getting a patio roof. Before choosing a company, we need to agree on what is practical and feasible. We are struggling with concerns like “will it make the living room dark,” “will it be too hot,” and “the sky won’t be visible anymore.”
Our budget is 5000.

A sliding option could be an idea. But will it still slide smoothly after several years?
How is the heat situation? We have full sun in the morning and at midday. Ideally, the shading should be above. But then it immediately costs 10,000 Euros.

A plastic roof doesn’t get as hot. But then you can’t see the sky anymore.

Honestly: who has ever regretted installing a patio roof?

Please share a drawing. Does the Terra canopy need to be above an important window? Could it be above a less important window? Can it be offset? Would you prefer glass instead? What kind of canopy are you envisioning in your description?
And what is the purpose of the canopy? Every canopy has its reason for being.
At 5,000€ you won’t get the full package.

It would come in through the terrace. Behind it are windows/doors, all fully glazed. It provides good protection against rain. And of course, this works well if you can leave your belongings underneath.

For that budget, you can probably get a patio roof (with shading), but not a full roof.

As already mentioned, please share drawings or pictures of the house; otherwise, there’s no way to proceed here.

When it rains and storms, it will get wet under any type of covering.

Unfortunately, that does not replace a drawing.
