Dear Forum,

I am looking for constructive and honest feedback.

What do you like about our floor plan, what doesn’t work at all, and why?

My “question areas”:
- Windows in the living room/on the couch side
- Experiences with bedroom/children’s room dimensions

The window arrangement in the children’s rooms will be adjusted again, using Child 2’s room as the starting point. The windows will essentially be swapped, meaning the bedroom window opposite the door and the window with a sill on the short side will be mirrored accordingly in Child 1’s room.

Thank you

It seems to work pretty well overall. However, a 14.4 m² (155 ft²) bathroom is quite large for a house of this size. Was that intentional, or was the space just “left over”? Also, where is north on the plan? (I’m asking because depending on that, the stairwell could end up being a bit dark.)

@K1300S
The bathroom layout was mainly designed this way because we didn’t want to give up either a large shower or a large bathtub.

And what about the north arrow? Or did I miss it?

The bathroom is quite large and therefore has a lot of unused space, which you could make better use of elsewhere. Our bathroom isn’t small either, but at just under 12 m² (130 sq ft) it is significantly smaller than yours.

I generally like the floor plan, but I feel there is a lack of storage space. The utility room alone wouldn’t be enough for me. I assume the house doesn’t have a basement, as I haven’t seen any mention of one.
