There is a small path running along our property that is often used by walkers.
We have been living in our house for some time now and would like to create some privacy.
In the picture, you can clearly see that our neighbor has already done this successfully.
Unfortunately, our double wire mesh fence is not high enough, so adding a privacy screen here would not be effective. The line of sight from the path goes directly to our terrace.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to create a reasonably visually effective privacy solution here? The gate obviously needs to remain clear, so we are talking about a section of the fence.
Extending the hedge is not an option because the path runs around a garden shed on the right side where lava mulch has been laid.
I would appreciate any suggestions.

Ah, you can keep your double standards to yourself. The only thing missing is for you to call people with anthracite-colored windows tasteless. I actually like that myself.

In this case, ypg is right—a welded wire fence with plastic sheeting inside looks worse than in the Flodder series. But if someone really wants to do it, there’s no stopping them anyway 🙂

Just my subjective opinion: A forum like this thrives partly on more or less helpful tips, competent as well as less competent advice, but also, as I mentioned and emphasize it’s only my opinion, on comments like “Eww, how ugly is that,” because those are always balanced by at least an “Oh, that’s really nice.” And here you find the full spectrum—from poetic and refined members to down-to-earth practical ones and everything in between. ;-) I like it already, and I also like every forum member, even those who don’t feel the same about me. ;-)
