I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

If you have a bit of patience, you can save a lot of money… Many of the plants we use were brought from our previous small townhouse garden. That means we have multiplied plants such as stonecrop, lavender, grasses, bergenia, ferns, sage, boxwood, balloon flower, hostas, and many more several times over through cuttings or division. We also received plant cuttings from neighbors. After 2 to 3 years, most plants have reached a good size. I usually buy plants only once and then propagate them myself—it’s really easy! For plants that are still too small in the first few years, I fill the space with annual flowers. Perfect choices are marigolds, zinnias, petunias, calendula, impatiens, and wax begonias. They bloom all summer long, and some even come back on their own.

After visiting several garden centers, I believe I can say that the price is reasonable. But it’s just a drop in the ocean 😉Steffi33 schrieb:

They bloom all summer, and some come back on their own… I should take a closer look at how to do this. So far, everything is growing well here, and maybe in a few years, I can propagate some myself too.
