Hello,
has anyone ever installed the main lighting in a house or apartment using LED strips?
Possibly integrated into a drywall ceiling and walls?
Or is that too prone to issues?
What should definitely be considered during the planning stage?
The apartment consists of a bedroom, bathroom, two kids’ rooms, hallway, storage room, guest toilet, and a combined living, dining, and kitchen area, as well as a balcony, with a total living area of 106 m² (1141 sq ft).
Thank you very much for your advice.

Get a lighting consultant/lighting engineer. There is too much to consider and even more that can be done wrong.

Yes, I have already contacted someone.
Nevertheless, it is important for me to know whether the output of LED strip lights is sufficient to replace traditional ceiling fixtures, which is actually my intention.

I have heard so many different opinions about KNX, each based on individual perspectives that are all valid, and every system works. However, in the end, you have to choose one, and if you have enough information, it becomes easier to decide.

The question itself shows that you need a lighting consultant.
It’s not about the output, but lighting an entire house exclusively with LED strips is still a bad idea...

The output generally exceeds the performance of traditional lamps. With light strips, you can easily achieve stadium-level lighting in your home. However, that is usually not the intended purpose.
