I thought a garden chat and photo thread would be a good idea.
This way, we have a space to share current pictures and discuss dandelions and other plants.

Is Veronica poisonous? 😱 Or not???
I think it was meant to refer to the bees that enjoy the nectar... 😉

True veronica (Ehrenpreis) is actually a medicinal plant, but in large quantities it can be toxic to cattle. As usual, the dose makes the poison.
I would strongly recommend planting a hedge along the field to absorb any chemicals when spraying is done.

I just realized I made a mistake... My star umbels are called "Florence." Fascination is the honorary prize... But judging by the flower, it seems to be the same. There are also lots of bees on it here...
The star umbels also seem to have found a spot that suits them very well; they have exploded this year!
I have a large box of perennials here that I want to plant shortly. Some things have to go (meadowsweets) and some need to be replanted because I misjudged the height 🙄 But before anything can happen, I need to water properly. After the disastrous amount of rain last week, the bed is already bone dry again. It's really unbelievable.
