Hello!
We are currently planning the attic conversion in my parents’ house!
The house will be completely divided into two apartments. My parents will live on the ground floor, and nothing will change there.
We want to expand the second floor (currently about 80m² (860 sq ft)) with sloped ceilings. According to the floor plan drawn by our designer, the second floor would increase to around 126m² (1,356 sq ft). The layout includes 3 bedrooms, a small hallway, a walk-in closet, a bathroom, a combined living/dining area, a pantry, and an additional terrace of about 20m² (215 sq ft). Except for one bedroom, all rooms would have no sloped ceilings. Access to the living area would be directly through a covered external staircase and a windbreak entrance (structurally difficult to change).
The basement could be partially shared with my parents, and a carport/garden shed is also available. Do you think this is large enough for a family with (possibly) two children?
Best regards, Julia

I find it especially lacking in visuals for an outsider to follow your thoughts.

126 m2 (1360 sq ft) is not a mansion but quite suitable for 4 people.
3 bedrooms, fits well.
The only thing missing might be an office, but if you don’t need one (or can find space for it in the living area/bedroom) then everything is fine...

As far as one can say without a plan...
