Why hasn't the master bedroom been swapped with Child 2? Or is the walk-in closet more of a general storage room? No, the walk-in closet is not a storage room. It's not yet final whether the master bedroom and Child 2 will stay as they are. We might still switch them 🙂 Although the view from the master bedroom is quite appealing, as it looks directly out onto a forest. What you rarely get to enjoy, however, is daylight; most of the time you go to bed when it’s already dark, and during the winter months it’s usually still dark when you get up.
I will never understand why most people choose their best bedroom for the nicest view. I’d rather use that room as my office (if I use it a lot) or another space that is frequently used during the day. In a typical family home, that would usually be a child’s bedroom.
You can always change that when the kids have moved out. But lying in the dark, happy that you would have a great view if only you could see it — I just don’t get it.

And after the children have left home, I would rather set up a room there for a nice hobby – something to use during the day, as I said.As I mentioned, nothing is final yet, thanks for the suggestion.i_b_n_a_n schrieb:
Small updates: The Q2 joint compound was gently sanded at the transitions and then treated with a primer (now the walls are baby-bottom smooth 😉 ). Out of a total area of 900m² (9,688 sq ft), we managed to complete an estimated 350m² (3,767 sq ft) this weekend. Additionally, in one residential unit, we installed the power outlets, prepared the switch cables, and partially prepared the distribution box (only low voltage; the electrician will handle the rest). For the house connections to be installed next week, we prepared further cables that we want to lay in the trench and route through the multi-utility duct (network cables for the wall boxes and power for the outdoor area / bike ports).

Here the screed installer really messed up and pushed the gas pipe in front of the outlets (they don’t seem to think even 1cm ahead while working. I suspect they aren’t paid for that either). So we need to remove a few centimeters (centimetres) of screed again, move the pipe to the left, and patch it back up. By the way, the rolls on the right in the picture are the 300m² (3,229 sq ft) impact sound insulation for under vinyl and parquet.
My "cozy distribution box," unfortunately the electrician has only had a few hours so far.

And here as a preview, the bathroom tiles on their own:

Next week there will finally be a lot happening again. Exterior stairs and balconies will be installed, the long-awaited house connections will be made, the drilling for the heat pump (110m (360 ft) per semi-detached house), and all four bathrooms will be tiled (soon).May I ask for the exact name or model of the tiles? They look great 😎
