ᐅ Opening Between Bathroom and Walk-in Closet Without a Door?

Hello everyone,
We are planning to connect our bathroom with our walk-in closet. We are considering not installing a door in the opening because both rooms are quite small. What are your experiences with moisture when no door is installed? Both rooms have skylights. I would appreciate your feedback.

If no one minds one person using the toilet for a “big business” while another is in the dressing room, why not?

Honestly, I wouldn’t want to go into the dressing room if my partner had just spent half an hour on the toilet due to diarrhea or something similar.

That’s probably why in these highly designed bedrooms you’ll always find a shower, bathtub, or washbasin next to the bed—but never the toilet! 😉

A sliding door would be a practical option here. This way, it can still be closed if privacy is needed.

Depending on the wall thickness, make the opening wider and install the door within a drywall pocket.

And the subtle hint about the toilet shouldn’t be overlooked either. Is the toilet room separate? How large or small are the rooms? A dimensioned sketch would be helpful...
