Hello everyone! I’m really happy to have found this forum!

I have a problem: I have a Metod kitchen from 2017 with the old dark gray Ringhult fronts, which are no longer available. Now I want to cut a 40cm (15.7 inches) wide base cabinet door in half and turn it into two drawer fronts because I need a drawer cabinet. How do I attach the door pieces to the drawers? Is there a drilling template for the fronts?

Thank you all in advance!

Best regards, Tusnelda

Try to find ready-made drawer fronts on eBay or local classified ads.

You want to make two fronts for drawers measuring 20 x 60cm (8 x 24 inches) from a 40 x 60cm (16 x 24 inches) door?

You can create a drilling template yourself from the cheapest 20cm (8 inches) front: simply clamp them flush together and drill through.

Where do you live? I might still have some of those fronts lying around.

Use the thinnest saw blade you can find...

You can easily find some offers for used ones on the usual marketplaces.

And place the cut side facing down. I don’t have a picture in mind right now, but is the original front also cut at a right angle? If not, it probably won’t look very good visually. Better to buy second-hand.
