Hello,
We are currently building a semi-detached house and will install a standard traditional doorbell.
Later, we want to replace it with a smart video doorbell.
Which smart video doorbell would you recommend? It should meet the following criteria:
No cloud storage – all data should remain within my own network.
The doorbell sound should ring as usual on the existing chime, and additionally ring on my phone and my wife's phone (it's enough if this works only when we are connected to Wi-Fi; it does not need to work when we are away).
The doorbell should continue to ring even if there is currently no Wi-Fi connection.
No monthly fees.
What is the legal situation? We probably won't be able to prevent the street from being recorded in the background. Is this a problem or illegal? The recording will only be temporary and only when someone rings the bell.

For me, there was nothing in favor of the Metzler—a SIP, no motion detector, and, I believe, a limited camera angle. However, I couldn’t quickly find the angle again to double-check.
I find a motion detector useful, as I also like to be notified when someone is outside the door without ringing the bell.

2N IP Verso. An Ekey sensor fits perfectly or you can use one from 2N. Technically excellent, and visually quite decent in black 🙂 Does it also compete in the same price range? Unfortunately, I couldn’t quickly find any information online.
Visually, it’s not quite as appealing but acceptable.
