Hello everyone, we are currently building our house with Town & Country and have chosen the standard plumbing package.
Is it possible to install matching vanity units under all the sinks, or do you have to buy everything as a complete set?
It should be possible, right? You would just need to pay attention to the dimensions, which I think are fairly standard?
Has anyone done this before? If so, could you please respond and maybe share some pictures?
Best regards

I really like your mirror. Is it a finished product or did you build the indirect lighting yourself? We have the same one. It also has indirect light at the bottom behind the mirror. Now I don’t like it anymore 🙁

probably a kookaburra, noisy birdsMy husband said there weren’t any around here. But I still remember that we used to hear them every morning from his bedroom in Australia when we woke up. Here, we also heard "laughing Hans." Recently, we saw some at the zoo, and when they made sounds, my husband immediately got nostalgic. 🙂

Sinks were also one of our biggest problems. We didn’t like anything from the general contractor. Cabinets from the general contractor would have been very expensive as well. We’re not really happy with the selection either, but they don’t install anything if you didn’t buy it from them, do they?

We don’t really like the selection either, but don’t they only install items if you’ve bought them from them? Usually not. When purchased through the plumbing contractor/general contractor, there is a decent margin via kickback from the sanitary ware showroom, where you almost always pay the retail price.
This is how we did it: we chose a vanity basin from Villeroy & Boch, bought it online, and stored it. We gave the installation drawing to the plumber and had the connections and wall reinforcement adjusted to fit the mounting. We got back about 30 euros (around $30) for the standard basin.
After moving in, we installed the basin along with the vanity cabinet ourselves.
The basin and cabinet would have cost around 2,500 euros (about $2,500) at the plumbing supplier, but with this approach it was only 900 euros (around $900).

In the end, we found a trusted tradesperson who installed it for us. The builder’s plumber didn’t want or wasn’t allowed to install anything we hadn’t purchased from him.Similar topics
