Ecki5527016 Jun 2021 09:03Hello everyone, I have a maybe unusual question or concern, but I have no knowledge or experience with these kinds of issues.
Problem:
About 10 years ago, we had a prefabricated house with a basement built. Over the years, a somewhat larger gap has formed outside between the basement ceiling and the house.
At that time, this gap was supposedly filled with some kind of insulation wool but was not sealed airtight. Today it looks really bad, and we also feel like the house has settled. The gap between the floor tiles inside the house and the baseboard has also increased, in some places up to 2 cm (0.8 inches)!
This is happening throughout the entire house!
What has happened here? Could it be that the basement has settled but the house hasn’t? Or something else? 🙄
Do I need to take any action?
Thanks for your comments, experiences, and ideas
Jens

Please upload some photos.

Is it possible or can it happen that the screed or concrete slab cracks due to unevenness?
We once felt a very loud cracking sound inside the house... like a break or a fissure.

Hope this helps a little.Only to a very limited extent. What can be seen is apparently non-wind-driven rain resistant exposed insulation, which needs to be fixed promptly. There is absolutely no indication of any reason why the house should be floating.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/
