Hello everyone,
a quick question regarding experts:
Would you value a Dekra or TÜV certificate, or what criteria do you use to choose your expert?
Would you (in the future) spend money on supervision during the construction phase?
Best regards, Jann

You might want to contact the Bauherren-Schutzbund. I actually looked into that months ago but eventually set it aside. I had read somewhere that I could approach experts directly without being a member, and that membership might not be very useful if you only want support during the construction process.
We are working with a company from Wildau and have been very satisfied so far. They have mainly helped us compare and accept offers, and we are still waiting for the building permit / planning permission.
For about 10 appointments, they charge approximately €4000 gross. This includes site inspections at important construction stages. Even when reviewing the offers, they told us what to pay attention to and corrected some issues, which has already been very helpful. They are also easy to reach by phone and take the time to support us there as well.
For a full package, including warranty by the expert, complete management of the construction site, and unlimited inspections / appointments, the cost is €12,000. However, this was the price at the beginning of the year; I don’t know if they have increased their rates since then. This service is mainly necessary if you don’t have time to visit the construction site yourself and/or if there is no construction manager on site, as they then take on the role of the construction manager.

Go to the Homeowners’ Protection Association and search for advisors,
search by postal code within the area,
click on the individual advisors, and then give them a callThanks, now that you mention it, that was my thought back then. "Then I can just call them directly."I’ll check right away who is listed in our area.
@Holzhäuschen: We actually need someone in northwest Berlin, otherwise I would have asked for the name by now. From Wildau, the travel expenses alone will probably be around 300 euros. 😱
