ᐅ Is a Separate Meter and Electricity Tariff for an Air-to-Water Heat Pump Beneficial?

Hello everyone,

We have an air-to-water heat pump in our newly built house and are considering whether it makes sense to install a separate meter for it and to get a separate tariff. Do you have any experience with this? Is it worthwhile?

What kind of “palace” requires an 8 kW heat pump?
“KfW100”, 300 sqm (3,230 sq ft), location?

How to roughly determine heating demand without a separate meter was already mentioned.

Not a palace. Usable floor area of 146 m2 (1,571 sq ft). Total 160 m2 (1,722 sq ft), split-level floors. The heating system was proposed to us as such.

LOL – I don’t even want to see the overall heating plan.

And what about the other two question marks?
Which KfW rating and design temperature?
How many square meters are actually heated? 146m2 (1572 sq ft)?

I need to talk to the photovoltaic specialist soon. Since the beginning of the year, I have been diligently recording all meter readings from both meters as well as the heat output of the heat pump to be able to analyze the data. Unfortunately, I still don’t fully understand the entire system. I have one tariff for heating: a fixed charge of €10.66 per month and 20.52 cents per kWh, and one for household electricity: a fixed charge of €11.69 per month and 32.57 cents per kWh.

The heat pump price is reasonable, but the household tariff is a disaster. We pay 28 cents plus a €100 fixed charge, but after applying the bonus, it comes down to 17 cents per kWh.

The lowest rating available. The contract specifies KfW 153. Exactly those 146 m2 (1570 sq ft) are heated. The storage room (HAR) was not included in that calculation. I can't provide any information about the design temperature at the moment.

That is the application for energy-efficient construction, but not the KfW classification of the building. KfW55, 40, or 40+? (probably 55...). And is the house located in the cold eastern region or the warmer Rhineland?
