Hello everyone,
we are about to complete the bathroom on the top floor of our new build. The pipes have already been installed going upwards. We have a laundry chute in that room. We would also like to install a shower, which would need to be positioned in a way that the laundry chute is integrated into it. Do you have any ideas on how to make the chute waterproof? Is this even possible?

Hello, we are currently still living in a rental apartment with a washing machine and dryer in the bathroom and drying racks in the hallway and living room. It's really annoying!
I’m really looking forward to having a laundry room in the basement. Everything will be tidy and out of sight, although I’ll have to walk a bit more. But there will also be a laundry chute ☺️
@TE why do you want to change? As far as I understand, everything fits with the shower and laundry chute outside the shower?

I don’t know any older people around here who do that. Not here either. I think the rotary clotheslines have been phased out.@slang
Please upload the drawings with the dimensions. Photos are distorted and don’t show any measurements.

@OP why do you want to change it? As I understand it, everything fits with the shower and laundry chute outside the shower? The laundry chute is a complete disaster – it’s just not acceptable to include something like that in a new build! Why would you plan the whole nice house like that when you can do the laundry where the clothes are taken off, namely on the upper floor!
