Hello everyone,

I’m new here and would appreciate your opinions.
For weeks, I have been thinking about which house to choose, how to best position it, where to place the carport, and so on. You probably know the feeling.
Today, I can say that I have a design I’m comfortable with. The only thing I’m still unsure about is the orientation. I have placed the house facing south, toward the street, which means the garden is in the north, with a nice view of the fields. What do you think about this? Has anyone had a similar setup or experience? Where would the carport fit best?

Thank you very much for your time... Have a nice evening,
R.

Thanks, that's what I thought.

What does the development plan say about floor area ratio, site coverage ratio, number of storeys, roof pitch, roof style, etc.? I don't think a bungalow is ideal on such a small plot.
I will have a garden of 11 x 8 meters (36 x 26 feet) behind the house, isn't that enough?

In the north, you have the street right there—how much traffic does it have? Maybe consider placing the terrace and garden on the south side instead?

Too small for a bungalow, especially considering this orientation and location.

The street is very quiet, with hardly any traffic... And the view is great.
If the terrace and garden are on the south side, then I would be looking into the new housing development.

Hmm... Too small, why? I mean, too small for what? Yesterday I measured the garden area outside: 11 x 18 meters (36 x 59 feet). I think it’s not small at all, but rather nice.

If the terrace and garden face south, then I look out over the new development area.

I’m not familiar with the area. I don’t even have a snippet from Google Maps.

You usually only have a view on a slope, right?
