Tonight the heating turned on again, and looking at the temperatures for the coming days, it seems the heating will turn on every night. I need to call the electricity provider now and increase the advance payment; otherwise, the year-end bill will be too high.

The weather this year is absolutely crazy—so much for climate change....

May I ask where exactly you live? That’s quite surprising.
I currently have the windows open in my old apartment (from the 1960s, with some insulation and new windows) so that it doesn’t get too warm from all the sunlight. There isn’t much cooling at night – around 10°C (50°F).

I would also proactively call the bank to see how quickly you can increase your loan amount 😉

Same here. If you want an indoor temperature of 22 to 23 degrees Celsius (72 to 73°F), the heat pump just has to run for a few hours now and then. And why freeze? At the current outdoor temperatures, heating per kWh has never been so cheap.

Yes, near Stuttgart. Right now, the temperature at night is 7°C (45°F) and 15°C (59°F) during the day. Little to no sun. Basically, the weather is like autumn, similar to October.

Do you experience a lot of wind there? Despite the heavy cloud cover, the temperature here remained quite steady.
