ᐅ Room divider – single-sided or double-sided?

Hello everyone,

I’m currently considering how the room divider could be designed—whether it should be accessible from both sides or just one. I’m thinking of a height of about 1.40 m (4 ft 7 in).

On one side, the TV would be mounted, and on the other side, there would be a bench.

My thoughts:

I’m not sure why, but I feel that with the double-sided accessible option, when I’m watching TV, I might notice more movement in the background, which could be distracting, although it would feel more open.

With the single-sided option, I might have more possibilities for design.

Does anyone have experience with this or any opinions?

Thanks and regards!

PS: I also find the example photo interesting.

I don’t want to emphasize it especially, just want it to fit in the room and be durable.

What’s wrong with latex paint? (one word)

I haven’t seen something this silly with the 5 words in a long time... but yes: that ad always appearing down there now – what’s that about? And the 60-second rule is also just so ridiculous 😡

I find latex paint unpleasant for indoor use. It feels like being in a rubber room.

You shouldn’t spread it either. There is also matte latex paint, which you or anyone else won’t really notice. Not on 3 square meters (32 square feet) anyway. And in my opinion, it’s always better than tiling a wall in the living area and giving it a shower-like character.

You have to see it in person. It’s natural slate, plus a TV with backlit indirect LED lighting. Amazing.

TV side with wall cladding. I am using Planeo wall cladding for my TV wall – it will look like this later (also available in other colors, it is natural stone, just a few millimeters thin):

How much does it cost per square meter? Did you install it yourself?

Could you please send me a link where I can order it?

Thank you!
