Hello!

- What do you think of our plan (carport is on the north side)?
- What could be improved or where do you see potential issues?
- We’re also not sure whether the access to the upper floor should be from the living area or from the entrance hall. What are your thoughts?

Floor plan of a house with living room, kitchen/dining, bathroom, hallway, stairs, and double garage.

Floor plan of a residential house: rooms, bathroom, corridor, stairs, doors.

Floor plan of one level: central staircase, four rooms (storage/technical rooms), and doors.

Thank you, best regards

A basement staircase from the living area hardly makes sense.
For further information, the questionnaire is missing.

House Design
Who created the design: initially self-designed, then a planner
What do you particularly like? Why? = the separation of living room, kitchen, and dining room
Preferred heating technology: air source heat pump

If you have to compromise, on which details or features
- Can you give up: possibly the pantry
- Can’t you give up:

Why did the design turn out like it is now? For example
Standard design from planner? = mostly self-drawn with visits to prefab house exhibitions

That looks very much like the Regnauer house in Poing to me. 😉

I really like the floor plan; you always have to make some compromises, but I think there are only a few here.

Exactly 🙂
I just wonder where the cloakroom is in this Regnauer house?
That's why we redesigned it a bit and made it slightly smaller.

I don’t like the entrance through the kitchen.
Do you really want a corner bench?
I would skip the pantry. You have a basement anyway.

You like the separation between living and dining areas, but to me it looks like a lot of space that will only be used as circulation area.

I would keep the upper floor as it is.
From the hallway, I would go down to the basement, and from the living area, go upstairs.

Where have you planned the terrace? I’m a fan of having the kitchen connected to the terrace.

That’s why we have replanned a bit and made it a little smaller.
Funny, the cloakroom was also what gave us a headache about the house. Otherwise, every time we walk through it, I find it really appealing. I don’t get the feeling that you always have to go through the kitchen either. Maybe you have to experience it “live” to appreciate the floor plan. As I said, I think it’s great!
