My wife would have something to say about that 😀 During the day, we have 12°C (54°F) and at night a bit above 0°C (32°F). You can’t turn off the heating, otherwise, the female body will freeze. We’ve also run out of firewood for the stove 🙁. But I think in about two weeks, we’ll finally be through it. This winter and spring have been insane, really extremely cold.

The heat comes from solar gains. Our heat pump has settled on its own since it is now controlled by the indoor temperature.

At night in Hamburg, we currently only have moonlight, so there are no solar gains at night. And at 5:00 AM, without a brief reheating, it would be too cool for me. A bit of comfort is still important; coffee alone is not enough.

Ours also runs for a few hours at night, the heating stays on automatic mode all year round.

I also leave it on automatically. I only turned off the hot water over Easter because there was enough sunlight for the solar energy.

It is also cool outside at night here, but that only slightly affects the indoor temperature. Therefore, there is no loss of comfort.
