Hi everyone,
I am currently building a house with a general contractor. On the ground floor, I have a patio door, two lift-and-slide doors, and two fixed floor-to-ceiling windows. Do the glass panels in these windows need to be made of safety glass?

I can definitely find you a few articles that say the opposite. But not as a general requirement. At most, window manufacturers say that to make a sale.nordanney schrieb:
But not with blanket enforcement. Only window manufacturers tend to say that to make a sale. That may be.
You can also reject a RAL installation of the windows and have them installed in the traditional way with expanding foam, because RAL installation is not mandatory either 🙂 but it is a recognized state of the art, just like the DIN standards.
Good night 😎

I would choose safety glass because I witnessed an accident involving an interior door that broke with sharp edges near a person's back. On the other hand, I have no problem letting children ride on the old tractor, which objectively is much more dangerous. The assessment is ultimately subjective.
