Hello,

We are currently building a semi-detached house and will install a standard traditional doorbell.

Later, we want to replace it with a smart video doorbell.

Which smart video doorbell would you recommend? It should meet the following criteria:

No cloud storage – all data should remain within my own network.
The doorbell sound should ring as usual on the existing chime, and additionally ring on my phone and my wife's phone (it's enough if this works only when we are connected to Wi-Fi; it does not need to work when we are away).
The doorbell should continue to ring even if there is currently no Wi-Fi connection.
No monthly fees.

What is the legal situation? We probably won't be able to prevent the street from being recorded in the background. Is this a problem or illegal? The recording will only be temporary and only when someone rings the bell.

Most of you have a Doorbird.
Can it be said that this is one of the best IP video doorbells?

What is the optimal height for the video doorbell?
At what height should the standard doorbell provided by the builder be installed?

It is more like one of the most affordable options that still offer many features.

And not to forget: One that can integrate well with other solutions without imposing its design too strongly on them. That was our reason, as we will install it in the mailbox on the entrance door. Of course, if you only need a standalone solution, this is not very useful.

I have recently been looking into the Mobotix T26 and we will probably decide on it.
It operates over the network without the cloud; data is stored on an SD card or on a NAS.
Has anyone had experience with Mobotix and can share their insights?
Best regards

Difficult to set up, but it works.

Can the Mobotix T26 (camera module only) be powered with a single CAT 7 cable and at the same time operate an existing doorbell chime?

What do you think of the Biticino Classe 300 X13E?

Goliath is really great, especially the new 2021 version. Very reasonable price.

Otherwise, it settles but costs 3000 euros.
