Hello everyone,
we are currently in the process of finalizing the design for our front garden.
The right side is a bit tricky, as you can see in the pictures, there is a slope from the front door down to the right corner of the house. We would actually like to have a flower bed there, similar to the one on the left side. Now the question is, how should we retain the soil on the right? Would you build a concrete block wall? A railing would then need to be installed on top of the wall.
Things aren’t looking very ideal…
We’re a bit unsure at the moment.
One of the pictures shows the suggestion from our excavator operator.
Greetings and thanks

I would place your stone wall in front of the light well and shape the terrain to the area on the right side of the house.
If you build the wall as planned, you will have a bulky structure that definitely needs a fall protection barrier. That’s a good idea too! We are inspired by the posts here.
Thank you very much 🙂
Maybe we will add a nice bench in front of the well.

Explanations in what sense,Well, what you drew there: the orange threads in the field—are those carrots or fireflies? And what are the blue fuzzies on the tennis net... I can only make very limited sense of what is supposed to be meant there.https://www.instagram.com/11antgmxde/

Oh, no; the picture was sent by our excavator operator as an example, just to illustrate where the planting bed and the wall are.
The blue ones are gabions.
