ᐅ Smart Home Video Doorbell Recommendation

Hello,

We are currently building a semi-detached house and will install a standard traditional doorbell.

Later, we want to replace it with a smart video doorbell.

Which smart video doorbell would you recommend? It should meet the following criteria:

No cloud storage – all data should remain within my own network.
The doorbell sound should ring as usual on the existing chime, and additionally ring on my phone and my wife's phone (it's enough if this works only when we are connected to Wi-Fi; it does not need to work when we are away).
The doorbell should continue to ring even if there is currently no Wi-Fi connection.
No monthly fees.

What is the legal situation? We probably won't be able to prevent the street from being recorded in the background. Is this a problem or illegal? The recording will only be temporary and only when someone rings the bell.

FAQ on the Doorbird homepage, positioned roughly in the center:
Our products are cloud-based solutions (similar to NEST, Dropbox, Dropcam, etc.). For reasons of reliability and security, our products do not use port forwarding/NAT or DynDNS for remote access via the internet. Instead, our products establish an encrypted VPN tunnel connection to our cloud server (located in a high-security data center in Germany). Our products use the same encryption technologies used by financial institutions for online banking (SSL). Remote access via our cloud server is free of charge.

It is technically not possible to operate our products autonomously without internet or without our cloud server, as functionalities such as push notifications (which require special server security certificates from Apple and Google), remote access, regular free software updates, etc., would not be possible otherwise.

The entire solution has been reviewed by the state data protection officer.

If you want to work without a cloud server, standalone IP systems from manufacturers like Siedle or Gira may be an option, although they naturally cannot offer the same range of functions. As a provider of intelligent and convenient smart home solutions, we do not offer products without connection to our cloud server. For security reasons, the use of cloud services from other providers such as Google Drive, ownCloud, Dropbox, Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, etc., is not possible.

Which video camera can you recommend to me now?
Gira TKS, Siedle, 2N IP Verso, Akuvox... excellent products, but not at the Doorbird price point.

FAQ on the Doorbird homepage, roughly in the middle:

Strange, either I am using the wrong functions or the text is incorrect. I just blocked internet access for the Doorbird devices and they still work, although push notifications no longer function.

Maybe this only applies to current devices. I could imagine this leading to discussions if the feature was available at some point, people used it, and then it suddenly gets disabled.

I think once they are set up, it also works without them. Failures can happen at any time anyway.

I have recently been looking into the Mobotix T26 and we will probably decide to go with it.
It operates over the network without a cloud service, and data is stored on an SD card or on a NAS.
Has anyone had experience with Mobotix and can share their feedback?
Best regards

Difficult to set up, but it works.
