ᐅ Is it allowed to place privacy screens anywhere on your own property?

Hello everyone,
I have the following situation: Last year, around the time we moved, we talked with our neighbors and agreed to plant a hedge along the property boundary for enclosure. In principle, I still have no objection to that; the hedge can definitely be planted right on the boundary.
However, a few days ago, the neighbors installed a shed along the boundary. It is quite a large structure made of silver corrugated metal. There is nothing wrong with that, of course, but it’s not exactly the view we want to have while having breakfast on our terrace.
I would now like to build a wooden privacy fence on our side of the property, something with a trellis for climbing plants, and plant greenery in front of it so that when looking toward that corner, we see a nice garden instead of the metal.
Am I allowed to do this without any issues? Are there any minimum distances I have to keep? I’ve attached a sketch where I have marked the metal shed in gray and the desired privacy fence in yellow. Of course, I wouldn’t do this without discussing it again with the neighbors first, but I would like to know where I stand legally. I haven’t been able to find much information online, only about enclosures with fences.

It can now be assumed that the neighbors placed the cabin so close to the boundary in order to make better use of the property.
There would certainly be "neighbors on the opposite side" here as well, who would not simply accept building on the boundary line.

There would certainly be "counter-neighbors" who wouldn’t simply accept a boundary building like that. Regulations and laws apply, after all. They focus, among other things, on consideration and fairness. It’s not about pushing others aside, and they are designed precisely for those who only think of themselves. There may also be some ignorance involved (and I don’t want to assume bad intentions), but I believe a basic level of common sense can be expected from anyone living in a civilized society. Admittedly, I’m a bit optimistic in that regard 😉
However: I’m not naive enough to see myself in a submissive role.
So: @kati1337 do whatever you want without measuring on that neighbor’s side :P
That’s probably what we’ll do as well. I think I’ll honestly bring it up the next time we meet. I believe that if you express politely that you don’t really want to look at something, that’s no reason to hold a grudge against someone.
Out of curiosity, though, I’d like to know: How much distance would you have to maintain from the property line? With the corrugated metal shed or with the privacy fence?
If I place my fence right next to the boundary now, I’m wondering how we’ll handle the enclosure later. So far, the hedge is still an option. I don’t mind it, but planting a hedge between a shed and a fence means no one can trim it from either side. 😀

How much distance should be maintained from the property boundary? For the corrugated metal box and the privacy fence??? 3 meters (10 feet) for outbuildings, privacy fences are considered boundaries as long as they comply with neighborhood regulations. This was already mentioned earlier, or you could check the neighborhood law again yourself in your position.https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/sauna-im-garten-in-bayern-abstand-Nachbargrundstück.38457/#post-479846
