Hello, my construction project experienced significant delays of over a year due to the architect and city authorities. Now, the originally chosen construction company has raised prices considerably, even though the house became smaller after a redesign.
Therefore, I would like to request comparative bids based on the existing plans, which have already been approved.
It will be a solid (masonry) house with 2.5 stories and a separate apartment. It should meet KfW55 or better KfW40plus standards, as a photovoltaic system is mandatory in my case. The construction method should avoid the use of additional exterior insulation made of polystyrene.
Can anyone recommend a company? I contacted many companies some time ago, but only a small fraction responded, and an even smaller number eventually provided an offer.

Finding and building are definitely two different things. I had a construction company, but I still haven’t received a contract or the KfW approval and can’t apply for a loan. I requested the extra cost for the KfW subsidy a whole year ago…. Nothing is moving forward, and now I’m considering alternatives. The builder told me yesterday that he has taken on so many projects that he is basically fully booked now, and I’m actually quite upset because everything with the bank was already arranged—I just didn’t receive the documents and therefore couldn’t sign them 🤨 🙄
So, you had basically already found what you wanted and were ready to sign (would you like to show what for exactly?), and with KfW they probably mean (monolithic) 55. And now the contractor won’t come forward with the surcharge to upgrade from the Energy Saving Ordinance to KfW55? – then I’m not surprised why he’s always fully booked (not because he’s that good, but because he takes that long). You should be glad about that; he would probably be similarly slow going forward.

No, I had the price for KfW55, but since the repayment subsidies were increased and I need to install a photovoltaic system, I wanted to go for KfW40+ because it would have been worthwhile with the granny flat/in-law unit. I eventually got the price as well, but after that, it just kept going back and forth, and I still don’t have the confirmation for the bank as of today.
I want to build a two-family house or a house with a granny flat/in-law unit. Small footprint since a larger one isn’t allowed, basement, ground floor with the granny flat, upper floor and attic for me. I can gladly send you the plans if you’re interested.
