Hello,

Has anyone here built a house without a basement on a slope? I would appreciate some pictures to get a better idea. We have an elevation difference of about 5 m (16 feet) from the street to the property boundary, which is approximately 25 m (82 feet) away, and the finished floor level (FFL) is planned to be 1.66 m (5.4 feet) above the street, with the garage 0.5 m (1.6 feet) lower.

In the end, we went with the city villa. The architect probably wanted to avoid the work of starting from scratch again. Others can better comment on the floor plans.

Otherwise, it just has to appeal to you.

It would be too tight around the dining table.

Install a 5m (16 feet) wide garage door.

The kitchen is too large; 2.26 + 3.51 meters (7.4 + 11.5 feet) is too narrow for a living room plus dining table. Much too narrow. There is too little storage space, while the children's room is very large... I personally would not like these proportions.

Am I the only one who flinches when the garage is bigger than the living room?

Well, who actually has a 36 m² (387 sq ft) living room?
But I would also prefer to skip the thick pitched roof and have a more pleasant interior instead.

6 x 6 m (20 x 20 ft) is rather small.
