Hello
a question for the experts. We want to buy a turnkey property. What are the differences between anthracite-colored versus white uPVC windows for a ground-level terrace facing southwest?
There shouldn’t be any price difference, right?
Thanks in advance

My general contractor calculated an extra charge of 2250€ for just the exterior anthracite film on 13 windows. Before signing. This is probably another good example of how many general contractors profit from “extra requests.”
For comparison: We order our windows directly from the window manufacturer. The surcharge for exterior anthracite film ranges between €22 (normal windows) and €32 (floor-to-ceiling windows) net. For double casement windows, of course, the price is doubled.
@HilfeHilfe: Just drive through new development areas and take a look at different houses. I personally think white windows look cheap. But that’s just my opinion! Otherwise, I can only recommend getting advice from a professional.

Most of my windows have at least double sashes.
Also textured foil?
I wasn’t really concerned about the unit price for this item, as the total price was more important to me. How the total amount was allocated to the individual features I requested didn’t matter to me.

I didn’t really care about the unit price of this item, since the total price was more important to me. I didn’t mind how the overall amount was distributed among the individual features I requested. No, smooth.
I agree with you, in the end you have to be satisfied with the whole package!

Thank you for the lively discussion!
One question: Is it possible to apply a film afterward, or is that not an option?

My parents installed brown windows 30 years ago. The frames have faded significantly, even on the north side.
I am not sure to what extent the technology has improved since then, but I believe that colored window frames tend to fade over time.
