Hello everyone,

The passage into the shower is giving me a bit of a headache. My husband says 60cm (24 inches) is enough, but I think it should be at least 70cm (28 inches).

Today we measured out 60cm (24 inches) with a tape measure, and we could fit through it quite comfortably, but now the idea came up to possibly swap the spaces of the shower and the bathtub and place the shower in the corner as shown in the example photo, designing it that way.

What do you think about that?

Or do you have any other ideas?

Thanks in advance

Such a huge bathroom and no space for hand towels wouldn’t be an option for me.

And the backlighting is a point to consider, but honestly, standing in front of the sink with a separate partition wall—hope you have good eyesight.

So, I mean the entrance to the shower from the short side, not from the side as you have drawn. Open to the toilet.

Where is the window located? You also need to distinguish between a south-facing window and a north-facing one.

The window is on the north side.

I wouldn’t mind a trapezoidal bathtub either, and maybe a layout like this:

- 2 windows, each 134cm (53 inches) wide
- The shower can really be separated off with a 180cm (71 inches) wall – you could also mount a tall towel radiator there
- Vanity unit 180cm (71 inches) wide – so quite spacious
- Toilet niche also 100cm (39 inches) wide
- Both windows remain easily accessible

Here’s a quick sketch using the Alno kitchen planner 😉.

I like the drawing; it’s basically what I suggested, just with a different bathtub, or am I missing something?

In the original plan, a cabinet for hand towels can be placed on the wall where the bathtub is. If necessary, the utility room is right next door, and large bath towels could be stored there as well.

Your drawing is quite different from Kerstin’s proposal 😳

Isn’t my drawing in #5 almost identical? Otherwise, you see something I don’t.

Number 5 got overlooked, and anyway... there’s that privacy screen again... and I immediately look away every time 😉 😉
