ᐅ Bathroom Renovation – Which Manufacturer for Sanitary Fixtures?

Simon91Hello,
we are currently renovating our bathroom and are now looking for:
1 bathtub
1 toilet
1 washbasin
The selection is huge, but I would prefer all products from the same manufacturer.
Villeroy & Boch is one option. Does anyone have experience with bathtubs from this manufacturer, for example from the Subway or Collaro series?
Which other manufacturers are there, or which have you chosen?
Thanks, regards

You can try out bathtubs by lying in them if you want to be sure. We decided on a tub from Duscholux with a special backrest shape, but to be honest, most of that is just extra features.
Currently, we have Villeroy & Boch Architektura, which is good, as is the Subway line. Faucets from Grohe are fine as well; the basic models are technically sufficient.
Sinks with rounded interiors are easier to keep clean. Soft-close toilets are a nice feature, but ultimately, your choice depends on appearance and budget. With the usual reputable brands, you really can't go wrong.

Villeroy & Boch ArchitekturaWe have those too 😀 Quite a few 😉I agree with the general opinion: in the end, a toilet is an object that gets used, nothing more, nothing less.
Soft-close lids in our case actually encourage the lid to be used. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference. And if you don’t like it anymore, you just replace it. These parts aren’t that expensive.
We have rimless toilets, wouldn’t choose them again — limescale still sticks to the surface there.
Choose the washbasin according to your taste, then select the toilet accordingly.
The idea that everything has to be from the same design line is challenged by the fact that there are great, unique washbasins made from mother of pearl, alloys, stone, or wood.
Showers can be walk-in style with a different design, such as tiles…
The same applies to bathtubs: you can really get creative with shapes. So it doesn’t have to be the same brand if the manufacturer specializes in ergonomically shaped designer bathtubs.
One thing I would keep in mind: the sanitaryware color (except for stone washbasins) should be consistent to create a cohesive look. If you have a white universal washbasin, then the matching toilet should be white as well. Same goes for bidets.
Hello,
thank you very much for the advice. We still have the feet and the drain fitting from the old bathtub (Geberit).
Do you happen to know if these would also be compatible with a new bathtub from Villeroy & Boch? Or would we need to get everything new from Villeroy & Boch again :/.

in the end, a toilet is a toiletDon’t let Al Bundy hear that. There’s nothing like a genuine Ferguson. 😉 Otherwise, I would mainly focus on the design and whether you want a rimless toilet or not. There are still models with less effective flushing performance than others, but you’re less likely to find those in specialized retailers.Similar topics
