Hello dear community,

Since I couldn’t find any information through the search, I’m trying my luck by posting here.

I’m currently trying to get an overview of house types and their prices. By that, I mean for example solid construction houses vs. prefab houses vs. Swedish-style houses (which are actually a type of prefab) vs. XXX.

I’m basically looking for the most affordable type of house without going into too much detail. Simply considering the building materials, construction time, prefab architecture, etc.

What building methods are actually available? Maybe there are really smart and inexpensive ways to build that people don’t know about because they’re uncommon. Do you have any ideas or know where I could find such an overview? Just a general one.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best regards,
Seibelt

You won’t find such an overview, as it cannot be answered in general terms. In the end, the cost is similar. Price depends on energy standards and features.

Unfortunately, you have to do that yourself. You want to make rigid comparisons of dynamic systems (houses with prices and technical specifications), but if the result is supposed to be a house built by you, you will never finish.

A home builder regularly changes prices and upgrades from BioEco to BioEco+ and then to BioEco+ blueLine. Every year there are innovations, changes, and margin optimizations.

You will never be done,

Hello,

thank you for your answers! So, it is not possible to say that a "standard" solid construction house is more expensive compared to an equivalent prefabricated wooden house?

Best regards

Exactly, it can’t be said.

If you want to keep costs as low as possible, a solid construction house from a smaller regional company is probably the best option. Choose a simple design, such as a rectangular floor plan without any decorative features.

Which option is fastest depends solely on which company has availability and how many customers are ahead of you. This is mostly independent of the construction method.

You may also fall into the common misconception that a prefabricated house is built faster than a "traditional" house. Although it is assembled quickly, you often have to wait a long time before construction even begins.

It is better to select companies and have direct conversations with them. That is the way to reach your goal. Internet research alone is of little help. Unfortunately, that is the case.
