Hello,

I can’t decide which color the kitchen sofa should be. So, I’m just asking the group: which color would appeal to you for a kitchen sofa?

The kitchen has a lot of wood: oak flooring, a light oak table, and an oak countertop on a matte black kitchen. The kitchen takes up a lot of space. The entire room will get a lot of light (east-facing window 4.5m (15 feet) wide in a room 5.5m (18 feet) wide).
The rest of the kitchen has no color. Walls are white, I have no accessories, and no colored towels either. The kitchen backsplash will be tiled in black.

I was about to order “yellow,” but hesitated at the last moment. Now I’m curious to hear what you think.

Thank you for the clarification. I actually first thought of something like the corner bench at my grandmother’s house, where I sat almost 40 years ago.
And basically, it’s the same idea.
When you think about all the standard mass-produced kitchens nowadays (which, by the way, we also have and will have in the house), you don’t really get that idea at first. But of course, eating in the kitchen used to be completely normal.
So it’s a great idea.
And to get back to the original question: of the colors you mentioned, I would probably go for a rich, strong yellow.

As far as I can tell, the color is green.

A suitable table might also be the Ennea by Ligne Roset, not oval but tapering at the ends and without legs that get in the way.

A rich, vibrant yellow is a good description. 🙂 I would like to buy exactly this sofa model and just have to choose between these 5 colors. The yellow is mustard yellow. A strong mustard yellow. 😀

The green is olive green, so it’s on the warm side. Also very nice. But does it match a black kitchen?

I just bought a table. The table you suggested has really stylish legs. Unfortunately, my room is too small for it. But I'll keep it in mind for the next house. 😀

The green color in the small picture, for example, unfortunately doesn’t appeal to me at all. Actually, the yellow color appeals to me more.

Have you already sat on the sofa? Just so you won’t be disappointed later.

@hampshire … if the table suggestion was meant for me, it’s a nice table but doesn’t meet my requirements 😉 … but of course you wouldn’t know that. My table should be made of wild oak wood, with knots, to better match my existing open-plan kitchen/living area. It should be extendable so that, in extreme cases, up to 16 people can fit around it (not for dining, but for chatting and drinking 😉 ). And it should fit well with the existing kitchen sofa.

@Bertram100 … the 130cm (51 inch) depth at the widest point, with the basic version being an oval table 130x175cm (51x69 inch), should even work well for playing cards, as three people can comfortably sit on each long side and all can easily reach the center of the table.

Stylistically and in terms of requirements similar to our table – but this one is not convenient for getting in and out from a kitchen sofa.
