My two bathrooms are "basically" already planned.
However, while walking through the construction site, some fresh ideas came up.
At the moment, I still have quite a bit of freedom to redesign, although walls, doors, and some small details are naturally already fixed.
Here is the ground floor bathroom (for personal use) as I have planned it:

The position of the shower is already fixed, or rather the full-height pre-wall element, since wastewater and the mechanical ventilation system for indoor air have to run from above through it. The shower is to be enclosed on three sides by about 2m (6.5 feet) high glass panels, approximately 130-140cm (51-55 inches) deep, without a door or curtain.
My wish for a freestanding bathtub hasn’t yet been graphically implemented in a way I find visually appealing. But then the idea came up to place the washbasin on a T-shaped element next to the toilet and position the bathtub diagonally in the corner on the right. Problem: It could get a bit tight next to the toilet, or you might be partially blocking the doorway while standing at the washbasin. Does anyone have a better idea? My desired bathtub (haven’t tried sitting in it yet) would be a real eye-catcher like, for example, this one

One reason: I would probably enjoy the look every time I enter the bathroom. And it would surely create a wow effect for guests (I don’t have a separate guest toilet). And if others enjoy it, so do I 😎
But I’m still a bit nervous about committing to one like this. Just for your information: A bathtub is essential for me (also for medical reasons).
@ypg Hardly possible to step on my toes with such things :p

How is that supposed to work? I see two walls on the plan, but you’re talking about three glass walls and an open entrance? Could you clarify...? The room is not small, about 10sqm (108 sq ft), but in my opinion, a bathtub like that needs space, also visually. That’s why I would definitely choose a nice bathtub, but a freestanding version wouldn’t be my first choice. Not only are the fittings incredibly expensive, but I also think it can create hard-to-clean corners if it’s not truly free and airy in the room.
As @Bookstar says, testing the bathtub beforehand is essential. My wife ultimately chose something completely different from what she initially had in mind – a bathtub with an ergonomically shaped backrest. I found it funny, but she likes it and actually uses it. Testing beforehand is similar to trying on shoes!
As someone who doesn’t often bathe, what I don’t like about bathtubs is when they have a thin edge, even if it looks stylish. I’m more the type to rest my arm on the edge.

I totally get it, but there are so many other ideas for a stylish bathtub solution; for me, such a tub really needs to stand quite freely to make an impact. Glass will also be installed against (or in front of) the walls instead of, for example, tiles.
...
Yes, I currently share those doubts about freestanding tubs. Comfort is a must! The problem might be ordering tubs online? (which is currently tricky, since trying them out in person first is hardly possible, right?)
In the next few days, I plan to lay out cardboard boxes in the room as templates to get a better visual impression. I have plenty of old packaging material (from work) for that ;-)
