Hello,

It would be really great if everyone here could just post one or a few pictures showing the current state of their house.

I'll start right away.

For renovations, it’s best to provide a comparison of before and after the remodeling.

Before March 2014:

After May 2015:

Bathing becomes much more efficient if the whole family uses the same bathwater. Or if you wash something else in it, which is not to say that I do this myself, but the possibility is there...

While efficiency is important, comfort should not be overlooked, to be honest.
And we really need to get back to using images instead of pages of endless talking?!?!

You want pictures of me in the bathtub? Probably not...

Hello Toooias,
yes, that's exactly right. We are very satisfied with it, but there is a plexiglass panel attached to the top of the parapet as a safety barrier in front of the railing, fixed with cable ties to protect the children.

I’m surprised you got approval for something like that without signing any waiver.
Our metalworker strongly opposed such a design because it acts as a climbing aid.
The plexiglass will have to stay installed for years and will certainly not improve in appearance over time.

Back to the topic: Here is a picture of my spheres:

Strange ... houses are becoming more and more energy-efficient to save resources—and possibly money—but water efficiency is still often overlooked ...

Energy efficiency, yes, but not at the expense of my quality of life. I am paying too much for my house to accept that.

For us, it was very straightforward. At the house handover, OSB boards had been screwed in as a railing. Afterwards, we had the railing built by a metalworker. We purchased it as a kit and had assistance with the installation. This way, the railing manufacturer holds no liability for the finished product.
