Hello, we are currently building a single-family house with Heinz von Heiden. Yesterday, our intermediate floor slab was poured, and now there is a pile of concrete right in front of our entrance. The site manager says that we have to remove the pile ourselves. Is this legal?

Hello,
we also built with Heinz von Heiden back then.
Disposal of construction debris was our responsibility at the time,
and I assume it still is today.
Best regards, Olli

Check your scope of work description to see if site clearance is included.

However, if the scope of work states that, it is probably standard practice for the company. This is also confirmed by the previous speaker.

That is clearly your problem, so you need to take care of it yourselves.

My conclusion after three and three-quarter years on this home building forum is at least this: if I build, it definitely won’t be with the favorite guy from @fach1werk ;-)

Regardless of who created or is responsible for disposing of the pile: If there are still people with heavy machinery or even an excavator on site, have them break down the pile into manageable pieces quickly so that you can dispose of it yourself without having to chip away at it manually.
