Hello everyone,

this is about planning the bathroom, especially the shower area in the master bathroom.

The plan is for a walk-in shower with a width of 1.20 meters (4 feet) and a depth of 1.50 meters (5 feet).
It will be flush with the floor, with a stainless steel drain installed at floor level.

Now I am wondering whether to build the partition wall from the existing Poroton bricks up to a height of 2.00 meters (6.5 feet) or to install a glass panel instead.
The clear room height is 2.72 meters (9 feet).

I am torn between the two options. Maintenance, cost-wise the brick is probably cheaper.
The shower opening faces the window.

Do you have any ideas or tips? This bathroom is driving me crazy.

Hi @Olli-Ka
It’s mentioned in my post #10 there 😉

Here is an old picture showing the shower wall before it was installed.

Modern bathroom: bathtub, shower, radiator, illuminated niche, blue striped blind.

Hmm, those who can read are clearly at an advantage 😕.
It might possibly fit for us, maybe a bit narrower, 1m (3.3 ft) width should be enough.
That’s exactly how I imagine a shower.

Of course, 1m (3.3 feet) width is sufficient; it always also depends on tile color, lighting, windows, etc. But don’t forget the necessary storage space for shampoo and so on, otherwise you’ll have to improvise something later.
It really looks sharp @Alessandro, although I personally prefer just a half-height glass panel on one wall because of bending down when squeegeeing. But the young guys these days mostly sit in an office all day, so this morning bending already counts as exercise. 😀

Yeah, sure. I just wanted to say that you shouldn’t forget TO DO THAT or something similar, and also that the riser pipe is hidden INSIDE the wall.
