Hello,

we have been planning for weeks now how to realize our dream of building our own home and with whom...

Since we are going for a turnkey build, the cost estimate for the house and the adjacent double garage is clear.
The demolition of an existing building, the earthworks, installing a sewer line, and storing and refilling the soil on the property have also already been accounted for in terms of cost.
However, for some points, I either couldn’t find any information or only very vague estimates on what to roughly expect (or not)...

Specifically, it’s about:

- Connection fees for electricity, water, sewage, gas, telephone, cable TV, etc.
- Outdoor areas – such as garden fencing (the property measures 16 x 25 m (52 x 82 ft)), landscaping (lawn), intercom system, and so on...
- Any additional incidental costs that might arise or remain our responsibility?

I’m looking forward to corresponding figures—especially practical, experience-based estimates, since everything tends to be a bit more expensive here in the region... 😉

Thanks in advance

Your energy provider can give you an exact price down to the cent.

What exactly do you want? It’s best to ask a landscaping professional.
For the intercom system, at least have your electrician install the cabling.

We are not familiar with your contract, so we don’t know what costs related to the house will be your responsibility.

For the outdoor area, I would say something between 5,000 and 50,000 is realistic.

Utility connection fees are the only costs you can find out down to the cent, provided you know the distance to the transfer point.
