Hello,

could you please review our plans regarding the supply and exhaust air locations?

I’m quite overwhelmed. Visually, the vents don’t look good at all, but they have to go somewhere. What is the most elegant way to solve this?

Do you think this layout is good?

At first glance, the supply air position in the living room (ground floor open plan, left side) stands out. The sofa will be placed directly underneath it...

Also, on the upper floor, there are three supply air vents on the floor. I find that rather unattractive and I’m concerned it might be inconvenient for cleaning.

Is it possible to simply change these floor vents on the upper floor to ceiling vents, or would that involve significant additional costs?

I would appreciate your feedback.

I think they don’t have to be exactly aligned. In children’s rooms, they’re also not located directly above the DDs in the living area.

Is a ground grid usually placed 40cm (16 inches) away from the windows, or is it positioned closer to the windows so that it is less noticeable?

That depends on the type of screed you are using. If it is too close to the window, it could crack. But basically, you can do it however you want.

How close are yours to the window?
I measured ours: they start 25cm (10 inches) away from the window. I saw a picture online where there was only 7cm (3 inches) between the window and the floor grid. That’s why I’m asking. I just don’t want ours to be unnecessarily conspicuous. I’m not sure what’s common practice...
