Hello,
we are currently looking for a construction company (masonry/concrete construction) to build our house. However, those we contact either do not respond or it takes a very long time to get answers. We have a preferred company from the town where we live (our first conversation was 2.5 weeks ago). Unfortunately, they have not replied for over two weeks now (they are not on vacation).
Now the question: Do you possibly know a construction company you can recommend? And is it normal for responses to take several weeks?
Thank you in advance.

More important would be a studio roof truss or wooden beam construction, so you can use the space upstairs as storage. We would prefer wooden beams. That’s also the approach of our current favorite. Today we are going to Nauen to Mein Haus GmbH.
We visited Nauen yesterday. It was, let’s say, okay. I probably shouldn’t have mentioned my budget, as it was fully used up.
At house number 3, we got an exterior view yesterday that we really liked. The windows will still be adjusted, and the columns at the entrance area will be made a bit more attractive. We’re also considering either a color scheme or some brick accents to enhance parts of the wall.

Except for the columns and entrance canopy... I have three almost identical bungalows (from the outside appearance) in the immediate neighborhood. One of them has a concrete ceiling, the other three have wooden beams. Who was number 3 again? That's good. It means they are popular and reliable.
Number 3 was Märkische Landhäuser from Ludwigsfelde (which would be a 25km (15.5 miles) distance to the construction site).
At this point, we had a long discussion with the architect about the bungalow, hipped roof, bay window, roof pitches, roof overhang, open-plan living spaces 5–6 m (16–20 ft) high without supports, skylights, and so on. Views and possibilities in both traditional and modern styles. The comparisons between the three companies were like comparing apples, but the execution turned out to be a pear. Even my wife gave up on the hipped roof. Regards, Nida35a

Regards, Nida That’s quite possible. We still have about 40,000 euros as a reserve for selections/changes, since we understand that the budget is rarely strictly adhered to.
