Hello,

We currently have underfloor heating with tiles. Now the project is to install parquet flooring. Can we install parquet at any time, or are there special considerations regarding the underfloor heating?

Best regards

Parquet flooring, similar to carpet, has a significantly higher thermal resistance compared to tiles. This leads to increased heat loss below the heating layer. Higher supply temperatures and/or greater mass flow rates are required to achieve the same heating output. This may cause bottlenecks in the hydraulic system. Overall, it is less energy efficient.

Therefore, it is better to have this checked before starting the project.

Best regards.
