We have now received our first floor plan along with a quote.
Three things to be changed beforehand:
- Wider window in the kitchen
- In the utility room (HAR), the window will be moved to the front
- Entrance will be covered

So go ahead

I would definitely include a shower in the guest bathroom. Your visitors always have to use the main bathroom, so a second shower would be an absolute must for me.
I definitely didn’t want roller shutters but rather blinds/shutters, as they are much more comfortable to use.
Perhaps move the partition to the vestibule further forward and push the house back, creating a more spacious vestibule, as well as a built-in closet in the hallway and, above all, also the guest bathroom.
The kitchen area with the pantry somehow feels dull, and with the door, the dining table stands directly in front of the entrance. With 8 desired dining seats, it will get cramped (hence also the second shower if so many people are planned). I would keep the kitchen open and design the empty space inside the kitchen area to be more interesting.
If you extend the kitchen/counter/island further in the direction of the kitchen area, in my opinion, you gain urgently needed space toward the dining table, where the door and the narrow entrance create a cramped feeling. I believe the kitchen, entry area, and pantry should be redesigned. You might want to consider not strictly separating the kitchen as a separate room; I think that would be a shame.

I believe the area between the kitchen, house entrance, and pantry should be redesigned. Maybe you should consider not strictly separating the kitchen as a room; I think that would be a shame.

My wife doesn’t want an open kitchen, so it will be separated by a sliding door. A second shower is worth considering. I misspoke regarding the dining seats. In 95% of cases, only 3 seats are needed. So, it will be a table for 6 people, which can be extended.
