Hello everyone,
this thread is meant to be a bit more positive .
I’ll start: these are things I would definitely do again:
- Brick facade (but only a fully colored one)
- Clay brick
- Two stories
- Controlled residential ventilation system
- Smart home
- Minimum clear ceiling height of 2.60m (8.5 feet)
- Large windows
- Open-plan design
What about you?
Best regards

We don’t need a second sink in one bathroom. “One hand washes the other” – from my point of view, this works better when both hands use the same sink.

Although I’m not the type who has to stick to the sink with one hand while brushing teeth. Exactly. With my free hand, I’m more likely to “stick” to the person brushing next to me. If we spat into two sinks, we’d also have to clean two sinks.
Some comments in this thread make me feel like we’re talking about Professor T’s bathroom.

I also really like these pedestals. Under my washing machine, I have a metal frame that even includes a pull-out platform for placing the laundry basket—THAT is brilliant! Over the weekend, I did a total of 9 loads of laundry, or maybe it was 11... anyway, quite a lot, and you really appreciate little things like that. I also love my rotary clothes dryer in the courtyard, very close to the laundry room, and in winter I hang clothes in the "garage" (which we don’t actually use as a garage), just 5m (16 feet) further away. That’s another thing I never want to go without because I prefer not to use our tumble dryer much, both for environmental and cost reasons. I’m also glad to have the washing machine and dryer in the basement now, where you can’t hear them and the neighbors don’t either, so I can comfortably use the delayed start to have the first load finished by the time I’ve had breakfast on Sunday at 6 a.m. Hey Winniefred,
do you happen to have a photo of your pedestal? We are interested in something like that and are currently gathering ideas.
Do you remember how high your pedestal is?
Thanks & best regards

Exactly, just a simple base... laundry baskets still fit underneath, perfect height for loading and unloading without back strain
