Hello everyone, the ventilation ducts run through a small storage room on the ground floor. During the interior plastering, a strip about 30cm (12 inches) wide along the pipes was left unplastered. Since this is an external wall, the question is whether it is absolutely necessary to plaster that section. I hope the picture makes clear what I mean. The adjacent wall is an internal wall.
Thank you

Appearance, but I wonder why he didn’t make the spot.

If it’s just about aesthetics, why do people specifically make sure that exterior walls with brick cladding are plastered beforehand?
If I were you, I’d just do the plastering myself quickly—you won’t even notice it afterward.

So, for me, it’s not about the appearance. It will be covered up somehow later anyway.

Because once the pipes are installed there, you can’t access it anymore...

I’m not sure if you understood me correctly...
With veneer walls, you wouldn’t be able to see it afterwards either, but they are still plastered behind to ensure tightness. Therefore, this should be plastered if it’s an exterior wall!

HilfeHilfe said it was only about appearance, but that’s not the case.
