Hello everyone,
I need your help again.
As you may have already read ( https://www.hausbau-forum.de/threads/das-Projekt-Eigenheim-beginnt.34624/ ), we finally secured a plot of land (number 3 at the top right on the plan).
Since Saturday, we have been trying to figure out which house type fits our plot best. The plot is basically south-facing, but a large green strip on the east side reduces the usable space significantly on the west side.
Our preference is to have a large garden to the south and west to enjoy the sun on the terraces for as long as possible. If I were to fully use the building area at the top, for example, with 11 x 8 m (11m frontage on the northwest side), then there would be no space to place the double carport. There is also hardly any space to turn a vehicle around.
In the long term (18 years), we will need 4 parking spaces (2 loosely in front of the house would be sufficient). Should we plan for all of these now?
My wife suggested either going for 9.5 x 9.5 m or 8 x 11 m, where the 11 m sides would be located on the northeast and southwest.
What ideas would you have? We are basically planning about 130 sqm of living space for 4 people.
Unfortunately, we cannot assess the placement of the carport/parking space in relation to the layout. Therefore, I would appreciate your advice.
Thank you and best regards

I measure 5.5 m (18 feet). The 1.5 m (5 feet) shift towards the south doesn’t really matter anymore. The plot is large enough.
Here is a carport 7 x 7 and a house 11 x 8:

Do you mean a long carport where two cars are parked one behind the other? No.PyneBite schrieb:
There is only about 5 meters (16 feet) distance between the northern boundary and the building envelope. I read that a double carport requires about 6-7 meters (20-23 feet) width. So? Then build it.PyneBite schrieb:
perfect orientation for the photovoltaic system? In my opinion, east-west. That way, you can install panels on both sides and have power during the times you are usually at home (morning and afternoon-evening).Escroda schrieb:

we have actually decided on this version, thanks for that.
How close can the carport be moved to the east? Directly next to the green strip or do we need to keep a distance from the trees?

Directly adjacent to the green strip Yes.
