ᐅ Energy-efficient house - Floor plan design - Kitchen too small

Hello everyone,

We are currently building our end townhouse and are generally very satisfied.
The only issue is the awkwardly designed kitchen (see attached floor plan). We would like to have a larger kitchen.
We appreciate any ideas and are even willing to give up the guest toilet if that is possible.

Did I forget anything?

Floor plan of the upper floor with bedroom, two children's rooms, bathroom, hallway, and staircase.

Floor plan of a studio with roof terrace and bathroom; studio approx. 20.74 m² (223 ft²).

Floor plan of a living floor: living/dining room, kitchen, entrance hall, half bathroom, and terrace.

Floor plan of the basement with hallway, stairs, and doors.

Just a brief note regarding the guest toilet: I definitely wouldn’t skip it here. Guests usually stay only on the ground floor, and they shouldn’t have to walk through the entire house to use the bathroom. Even if you’re, for example, in the garden and need to quickly use the toilet, do you really want to walk all the way through the house including the stairs?

My standard:

Ground floor plan: open living/dining area with dining table, sofa, kitchen, WC, stairs.

I had to slightly reduce the size of the WC and install the underfloor heating manifold (would that be possible?). Also, the window facing the street will be removed, so I made the other one larger.

Is bottom right on the plan south?

I like the kitchen; I think the layout works well for a single-family semi-detached house. Is there any way to improve the garage location? I also had a similar semi-detached house with the same width. I had a great kitchen with a breakfast bar and a large living-dining area... I need to check later where I have that plan.

However, that doesn’t really fit a semi-detached house... unless @chand1986 shows their design. They have the kitchen and dining area facing the backyard.
