Hello, for the financing application, proof is required that the house, as currently planned, meets the KfW 70 standard. An energy consultant is needed to provide this proof.
What costs should I expect?
KfW 70 single-family house, 150 sqm (1615 sq ft)

With basic assessment. Then the actual demand (performance, energy) for heating and hot water should have been determined! What are the values? Landler schrieb:
...Usually the chimney sweep does this much more cheaply than the certified engineer. What exactly? Chimney sweeping? Are you really sure that a chimney sweep with supplementary training as an energy consultant can replace a solid HVAC design? Well then, good night Marie. Best regards.

Best regards. Of course, the graduate engineer specializing in building services and energy consulting feels immediately attacked.
Therefore, any further discussion is a waste of time.

Bauexperte6 Nov 2012 13:31Hello,
You’re investing several thousand euros in your construction project and risk having to pay money back or relying on incorrect data just because a (evening) energy consultant completes a form or calculation more cheaply than a trained professional?
No wonder that so-called developing countries are gaining ground. And later on, let no one in this country complain if their own jobs fall victim to these examples!
Best regards

One more tip, maybe: Chimney sweep services are usually significantly cheaper than those of a certified engineer.

It’s obvious that the graduate engineer specializing in building services and energy consultancy feels attacked right away. That’s a misunderstanding; a large part of my work also involves optimizing and improving existing systems. Of course, there are limits to what can be achieved here. How often do I hear from clients: Yes, if we had known that beforehand, we would have...
Looking back, it’s usually just tough luck. With thorough initial assessments and proper system sizing, much lower operating costs could have been achieved for the respective investment! In hindsight: saved money in the wrong place!
