Hello everyone,
I would like to hear your suggestions on the type of television connection you use.
- Satellite (SAT)
- Cable
- DVB-T2
- Via internet connection
- Other?
In the age of Netflix, Amazon Prime, YouTube, and others, will traditional TV still be watched in 10 years? That’s why I’m considering not mounting a satellite dish on the facade (because it doesn’t look good).
Let me know how you currently receive TV signals in your new builds.

800€ sounds like a standard telecom house connection. Are you sure that’s not VDSL? So you can’t get 1000 Mbit/s upload and download?
It also depends on the region in Germany... here in the "city," a maximum of 100 Mbps is possible. On our street, however, only half of that, 50 Mbps, is available.
At my parents' place in the countryside, it is currently 6 Mbps, and at my brother’s even just 2 Mbps.

If I remember correctly, Magenta’s 50 Mbit connection supports two HD channels and one SD channel simultaneously. For example, recording two HD programs while watching a third one in SD, or watching two HD programs while recording one in SD. Time-shifted viewing or replaying a program should be considered the same as recording. When using two receivers in the house at the same time, situations may arise where 50 Mbit reaches its limit.
In my experience, gaming has little impact. I have never noticed any effects from it.
