ᐅ Routing of Pipes from the Utility Room to the Bathroom

Unfortunately, I couldn't find a suitable topic. Let's assume a house has 2 floors: ground floor and upper floor. What disadvantages are there, apart from costs, if the bathroom is not located directly above the utility room? For example, if it is two rooms further away.

This is difficult in the house mentioned by the OP. The bathroom on the upper floor is located above the dining room and window front. This is how the discussion started. Since the reference to the manufacturer or model is no longer included, it is naturally impossible to verify this anymore.

Thank you, Rick2018 and YPG. From your comments, I understand that it is feasible and, if done properly, the noise levels are minimal.

The question I have is whether it would be more sensible to place the bathroom in a different location in the case of Lindenallee. However, I believe this is something everyone has to decide for themselves and it varies from house to house.

Links can be removed, that can happen. But was there any explanation for the change of mind regarding the multi-story building?

Gussek Haus Lindenallee is not hard to find with a quick search. Does the original poster intend to go with that design? There is probably a show home for it (with photos, including interiors) so you could check how it is arranged there. I find it hard to believe that Gussek Haus would build a show home where the sewage pipes are boxed in drywall right next to the dining table, letting waste run down there — that would really shake my confidence, since I always recommend that clients choose standard floor plans following the principle “those have been thoroughly tested.”

But where exactly should that be? Of course, you could swap the bathroom with child’s room 3, but the dormer window would look odd on the corner, wouldn’t it?

Swapping with child’s room 3 exactly was also my thought. The corner remains without the dormer. Regarding the location alone, I agree with you—the bathroom is much better placed where it is now. Let’s assume the rear part of the house faces south and the bathroom stays there; then, thanks to the large windows, the bathroom will always be nicely warmed.

And since "Child 3" is larger than the "bathroom," you want to use that as a storage space? Without a dormer, you don't have full standing height all the way to the eaves.
